Middle Eastern Casting is your Gateway to Hollywood for Middle Eastern Roles.

On May 1, 2008 four friends got together and decided to start a company with two main objectives in mind.

Middle Eastern Casting Brings Authenticity to the Role

We believe there is a tremendous need for authentic Arab and Middle Eastern actors/actresses in Hollywood. In recent years there has been an increase in production regarding conflicts that have taken place in the Middle East, and more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. Film and television productions that are made about the events taking place in the Middle East require the need of actors/actresses of authenticity to portray these roles.

For example, an actor of Egyptian descendent cannot speak with an Iraqi dialect, or a person from Saudi Arabia or the Gulf States cannot accurately portray someone from Syria or Lebanon. There are 22 Arab countries in the world with over 40 spoken dialects of Arabic due to the fact that each region has two and sometimes three dialects.

There is no shortage of Middle Eastern male and female actors available, but they lack proper representation making their availability unknown. This in one of the many reasons Middle Eastern Casting decided to fill this void and offer the correct person for each individual role as needed.

Rotation Training with the U.S. Military

Middle Eastern Casting assists and supports in the education of U.S Military forces, to help them better understand the people and cultures of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other Middle Eastern regions, by teaching them the culture, customs and traditions of the aforementioned regions in order to help win their hearts and minds of the local populous. Performing these exercises and scenarios will help eliminate misunderstandings leading to casualties on both sides of the conflict and better prepare our U.S. forces in dealing with the local populous before deporting them to the front lines of Iraq and Afghanistan.

A large part of our objective is to educate our Armed Forces by teaching them a few words that they can use during their tour of duty to help eliminate barriers between two opposing cultures as well as breakdown the initial fears and misunderstanding that language barriers can create.

Our role players from Iraq and Afghanistan represent the ideal situation faced by our Armed Forces in their tour of duty, and assist them in dealing with the hierarchy of the local villages or towns.

In addition to this objective, Middle Eastern Casting believes that there is a lack of educated interpreters and translators to assist the Armed Forces in communicating with the local populous.

We feel that we can assist not only Hollywood, but our United States Armed Forces in supplying, educating, and creating scenarios involving authenticity in the many cultures and languages of the vast, and often misunderstood, countries of the Arab world.
